Under the motto “Unity in Diversity”, Yoga Vidya invites guests from the EU and around the world to an international week in the Bad Meinberg seminar center from April 7th to April 14th, 2023. The English-language events as well as the personal encounters between speakers and guests are intended to contribute to the shift from “I” to “We”. The purpose of the meeting is to appreciate a fundamental global connection that makes a common future possible in the face of the current crises.
“I think making the feeling of togetherness tangible and thinking about what connects us across national borders these days is one of our most important tasks,” emphasizes Sukadev Bretz, founder and director of the non-profit yoga association. “In recent years it has become clear how connected we are all, even when we are apart. It's about promoting empathy for each other, developing personal skills, strengthening the competencies of subsystems and finding comprehensive solutions. Yoga offers excellent tools for this.”
The international week wants to put these intentions into practice. Speakers from the USA, Spain, India and the EU will dedicate themselves to their very own visions of the idea of ​​unity every day in two satsangs, two lectures, two yoga classes, several mantra concerts, kirtan singing, rituals and meditations and put them up for debate. Thematic areas from Advaita Vedanta, integral Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, mindfulness, psychotherapy and Tantra come into play in theory and practice. Through informal exchange, conversations and music in the circle of the spiritual community, the unifying feeling of humanity, the growing compassion for one another, should continue to flourish and both deepen the friendships that have developed over many years and help make new encounters possible.
All people from home and abroad with a personal interest in helping to build a new path for humanity that relies on cooperation and understanding between cultures, religions, social, economic and political circumstances are welcome.
